An 1,800 sq ft law office in Pune, for Advocate Prashant P. Patil.

The brief was colonial English meets Indian High Court. That reads as impressive on paper and heavy in a real room, dark panelling, ornamentation, furniture that dominates. So the materials did the restraint instead: walnut, brass inlay, fluted glass, real arch geometry, not applied trim.

Reception opens on a rough cream-stone counter with a rounded brass base, a wire pendant light, and arched fluted-glass doors, quiet enough to read as considered, not corporate.

The associates' cabin runs two facing desks, brass strip inlay down the legs, warm plaid-papered niches behind each chair holding the room's only pattern.

Advocate Patil's own cabin holds the real centrepiece: three white arched niches, backlit, filled with case law and his own objects, globes, brass spheres, small figures. Real books, not styling.

The associates' bay opens up to a full window wall, Roman blinds filtering the light, matching wood tones carried through to the last desk.

Reception, cabins, and the associates' bay read as one material language, but each has its own weight. The formal rooms stay closed and warm.
