Commercial Studio, Pune

An industrial studio inside a building with an arched steel window as its defining feature, so the design worked with that arch rather than around it. Ceilings stay exposed, concrete overhead, with cube-frame pendant lights doing the finishing work instead of a false ceiling. Wall cabinetry runs in warm wood, felt-panelled backing behind every desk run for a quieter, softer working surface. Vintage bakelite switches were kept and mounted deliberately on raw wood plates, a detail that reads as intentional restoration, not an oversight.

The centrepiece is the conference table, a resin-and-wood surface built from irregular timber fragments set into teal resin, closer to a piece of furniture than office equipment. Private cabins use angular, raw-edged desks in black steel and wood, personal enough to hold a small fridge, framed awards, and a scatter of personal objects without looking cluttered.
